A Big Milestone Moment
Tori & Michael’s Wedding
In July 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Chicago to photograph a wedding—a milestone moment in my photography journey. While I’ve traveled before to my hometown of Cincinnati for engagement sessions and graduation portraits, this was my first time being flown out to a completely new location for a full wedding day. The experience was exciting, humbling, and deeply meaningful. It marked a turning point in my business and reminded me of the passion that drives me to do this work every day.
What made this experience even more special was the relationship I had built with the couple, Tori and Michael. I first met them in July 2023, when I photographed their engagement session. From the very beginning, their warmth and trust made the session feel effortless and natural. Over the past two years, we stayed in contact, sharing updates, laughing together, and anticipating the wedding day. When they asked me to photograph their wedding, it felt like a true honor—a full-circle moment that I will always cherish.
Standing Behind the Camera
Traveling to a new city for a wedding brought a unique mix of excitement and responsibility. It’s one thing to photograph couples in familiar settings, but being trusted to document a day in a completely different location comes with its own set of expectations.
