On August 30, 2025, I had the incredible honor of photographing the wedding of Ryan and Emily Bond in beautiful Greensburg, Indiana. This wasn’t just another wedding for me—it was a deeply personal experience, because I’ve known Ryan and Emily for as long as I can remember, since elementary school, and have had the unique privilege of watching them grow up into the amazing adults they are today. Their love story has been intertwined with my own life in so many ways, and being chosen to capture their wedding day was truly magical.
Witnessing a Love That Began in High School
Ryan and Emily were a few years younger than me in school and were very close friends of my younger brother. Over the years, I’ve watched them grow from kids in elementary school into the remarkable, kind, and loving people they are today. Their journey as a couple is just as beautiful—high school sweethearts who began dating at 15, learning, growing, and supporting each other through all of life’s milestones.
Being able to witness their story unfold has been nothing short of inspiring. I’ve watched their relationship evolve from teenage romance to a mature, deep love rooted in friendship, trust, and mutual respect. Experiencing that growth over the years made photographing their wedding incredibly personal and meaningful for me.

The wedding ceremony in Greensburg was absolutely breathtaking. Every detail—the flowers, the décor, the music—was carefully chosen to reflect Ryan and Emily’s personalities and the love they share. But the true magic came from the moments that can’t be staged: the smiles, the laughter, the tears, and the love that radiated from the couple and everyone around them.
Their vows were especially moving. I won’t lie—I shed a few tears behind the camera. Watching two people I’ve known since childhood commit to a lifetime together was deeply emotional. It’s rare to witness a love story from the very beginning and then be asked to document one of its most important chapters. Capturing these moments felt like preserving a lifetime of memories in a single day.
